VG in VG DJ. Inside story of the Cuban revolution & a close-up picture of the bearded leader who dominated it. It was Castro's ideals of freedom, democracy & human decency that inspired Cubans to spend their lives for their country, his imagination & indomitable optimism that brought men to his cause and reinvigorated them after setbacks and defeat, and the contradictions in his words and perhaps in his character that make his aims and his future a tantalizing question. Castro at the beginning of his career. One photo shows Castro with headwounds from the student riots in Havana in 1948, one of him in a suit walking through Central Park in NYC in 1955. DJ sl edge wear & edge tanning. Illustrated by Photos. 1st ed 2nd ptg.
