Covers are brittle and have chipped and cracked. They have been neatly tape repaired. Two inch v shaped chip missing. Some soil. Previous owners name on title page. Book is separated into two parts. One side has warship expert John Alden's examination of the famous flush- deck destroyer which has remained active since its debut in 1917. On the opposite side is Part two, which is a complete statistical summary of destroyers. All 273 flush- deckers are listed by hull number. Full-page photos are all printed on coated paper. Text is clean, lightly oxidized at edges.
