Condition - varies between very good plus to near fine, with many clean pages and others with light foxing. All plates and tissue guards are unmarked. No inscriptions. Binding is very tight indeed and, despite the fading to the leather, the set presents very well indeed. The author's truly fascinating account of life, lore and topography in England and Scotland at the end of the eighteenth century as seen through the eyes of a Frenchman on his travels during the troubled times of the French Revolution. Further details upon request. It would make a very special gift for someone with a passion for Scotland and for the Hebrides, Staffa and Fingals Cave in particular.
