Back panel has faint date stamp marks which have been rubbed. Copy very good though worn. First edition. This new dossier-style presentation of the crime story contains cablegrams, photographs, criminal records and actual clues. It was a courageous publishing venure by Hutchinson.

Unpaginated folio of loose pages incorporating all the evidence gathered in the investigation of the apparent suicide of Bolitho Blane. Includes: police notes, telegrams, section of blood-stained curtain, hair sample, used match, photographs of suspects, and much more. All pages are present. The sealed solution gathering at the end has been opened, but the conclusions are all intact. Yapp card cover is creased at the edges, but the contents are complete and the red ribbon holding the dossier together is in its original condition and position. There is a small pencil inscription on the cover.

Brown Card Covers with punch holes through each page, the whole being held together with its original red ribbon. This publication has been set out in the form of 'a police file'. and is hailed as the beginning of a new era in Crime Fiction. The Murder Mystery has been planned by J G Links.The covers are in fair condition only, being heavilly sunned , rubbed, chipped and torn to edges with some loss to spine cover. The original first two pages , a Cablegram and a Memo have been lost and replaced with facsimilies. On page 113A there are three clues, a lock of hair and a match together with a photograph of cigarette ends. The lock of hair is missing. Internally it is in Good condition with uniform brown toning throughout. There is a note by the author to inside the front cover and on the back cover the following is written - - Keep this carefully. It is a First Edition of the first Crime Story ever presented in this way. Should others follow, it is possible that an undamaged copy of 'Murder Off Miami' may be of considerable interest one day.
