101 REASONS WHY I Lost My Homework AGAIN: The Snotty Snail is the exciting first volume of a new graphic novel series that’s perfect for kids who love fun-filled adventures! Follow Danny and his genius pet frog, Yokono, as they navigate a messy, slimy mission to save their school from a gigantic, sneezing snail. And of course, there’s a very good reason why Danny doesn’t have his homework—AGAIN!
Danny’s journey isn't just an excuse. On his way to school, Danny and Yokono meet a gigantic snail with a boogery head cold that’s headed straight for their beloved town. Together, they must find a way to cure the snail, shrink him back down to normal size, and uncover who unleashed this slimy menace—all while trying not to lose Danny’s homework in the process!
But there’s more to this story than just laughs and adventure. While it may seem like the book is about coming up with wild excuses for missing homework, it’s actually packed with deeper lessons and meaningful themes. Danny teaches children the importance of focusing on others, not just themselves, and shows that people can change for the better. The story emphasizes how creativity can inspire others and the power of selflessness, leadership, and transformation. Readers are encouraged to see the story's underlying message about "helping others" and being there for those in need.
Key themes woven throughout the book include change, transformation, selflessness, and the idea that "everyone is good at heart."
