Facsimile of the 1912 Sanborn fire-insurance atlas of Billings, Montana, reproduced in full color from the Library of Congress copy. It covers the whole city of 15,000 people, from the stores, hotels and theatres of Montana Avenue and First and Second Avenues North, the County Court House and the Union Depot, through the Northern Pacific and Great Northern freight yards, wholesale houses and implement warehouses, to the Polytechnic Institute, the sugar factory and power plants and the residential streets of the North Side and the South Side.
The thirty-seven numbered map sheets work block by block from the stores, banks, hotels and theatres along Montana Avenue, Minnesota Avenue, First, Second and Third Avenues North, Twenty-seventh Street and Twenty-eighth Street - the Yellowstone County Court House and Jail, the City Hall, the Post Office, the Parmly Billings Public Library, the Chamber of Commerce, the Masonic Temple, Coliseum Hall and Industrial Hall, the Babcock and Acme theatres, the Grant, Elk, Northern and Commercial hotels, the Cottage Inn, the Boykin House, the Orpheum lodgings, the Y. M. C. A. and the Y. W. C. A. - through the Union Depot, the Northern Pacific freight depot, the Great Northern freight depot and round house, the Occident Elevator Company's grain elevator and the Russel-Miller Milling Company's flour mill, the wholesale grocery houses of Stone, Ordean, Wells, Lindsay-Walker and Virden-Luke, the Marshall-Wells and Kelley-Howe-Thompson hardware houses, the implement and machine warehouses of International Harvester, J. I. Case, Minneapolis Threshing Machine, Nichols & Shepard, Rumely, Oliver Chilled Plow, Emerson-Brantingham and F. B. Connelly, the Armour & Co. and Merrell packing houses, the hide and wool warehouses, the Hamm beer storage and the Billings Brewing Company, the Yellowstone Creamery and the Yegen Bros. ice houses and cold storage, the Billings Sugar Company, the Billings & Eastern Montana Power Company's power plant and Yegen plant, the Montana Water Company, the Billings and Pintsch gas companies, the Billings Foundry & Manufacturing Company, Gagnon's planing mill, the Allen, Cardell, Chase, Russell, Seeley and Billings lumber yards, the Continental Oil Company, to St. Vincent's Hospital and the South Side General Hospital, the Billings Polytechnic Institute, the High School, the Broadwater, Garfield, Lincoln, McKinley, Roosevelt, Taft and Washington public schools and St. Patrick's Parochial School, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the First Baptist, Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian churches, the Scandinavian Lutheran Church, the Christian Tabernacle and the South Side Christian Church, and the residential streets of the North Side and the South Side.
In 1912 the Sanborn Map Company of New York surveyed Billings for the fire-insurance trade, drawing the city at fifty feet to the inch. Every building is shown to scale and color-coded for construction (yellow for frame, pink for brick, blue for stone), with heights, uses, windows, party walls, hydrants, water mains and fire stations all marked. The index lists every street and every named business, church, school, hotel, mill and works with the sheet it appears on, and the key map places the colored sheet grid over the whole city.
This Exile Books edition is an unabridged facsimile republication of the atlas: the combined title, key map and index sheet and the thirty-seven numbered map sheets that follow it, printed at 8.5 x 11 inches on premium color paper. Ideal for local historians, genealogists, architects, preservationists and anyone tracing a Billings address back to 1912.

Diritto legale di recesso
Hai il diritto di recedere dal presente contratto entro 14 giorni senza fornire alcuna motivazione.
Il periodo di recesso scade dopo 14 giorni dal giorno in cui tu o una terza parte, diversa dal vettore e da te indicata, acquisisce il possesso fisico dell'ultimo bene o dell'ultimo lotto o pezzo.
Per esercitare il diritto di recesso, compila e invia elettronicamente una dichiarazione esplicita sul nostro sito Web, alla voce “I miei acquisti” nella sezione “Mio account”. Ti comunicheremo senza indugio una conferma di ricezione di tale recesso su un supporto durevole (ad es. via e-mail).
Per rispettare il termine di recesso, è sufficiente inviare la comunicazione relativa all'esercizio del diritto di recesso prima della scadenza del periodo di recesso stesso.
Effetti del recesso
In caso di recesso dal presente contratto, ti rimborseremo tutti i pagamenti ricevuti, compresi i costi di spedizione (ad eccezione dei costi supplementari derivanti dalla tua eventuale scelta di un tipo di spedizione diverso dal tipo meno costoso di consegna standard da noi offerto).
Potremo effettuare una detrazione dal rimborso per la perdita di valore dei beni forniti, qualora tale perdita sia il risultato di una manipolazione non necessaria da parte tua.
Eseguiremo il rimborso senza indebito ritardo e non oltre 14 giorni dal giorno in cui saremo informati della tua decisione di recedere dal presente contratto.
Il rimborso sarà effettuato utilizzando lo stesso mezzo di pagamento da te usato per la transazione iniziale, salvo che tu non abbia espressamente concordato altrimenti; in ogni caso, non dovrai sostenere alcun costo quale conseguenza di tale rimborso.
Possiamo trattenere il rimborso finché non avremo ricevuto i beni oppure finché non avrai fornito la prova di averli rispediti, a seconda di quale condizione si verifichi per prima.
Dovrai rispedire i beni o consegnarli a AHA-BUCH GmbH, Einbeck, Germany, senza indebito ritardo e, in ogni caso, entro 14 giorni dal giorno in cui ci hai comunicato la tua volontà di recedere dal presente contratto. Il termine è rispettato se rispedisci i beni prima della scadenza del periodo di 14 giorni. I costi diretti della restituzione dei beni saranno a tuo carico. Sei responsabile solo della diminuzione del valore dei beni risultante da una manipolazione diversa da quella necessaria per stabilire la natura, le caratteristiche e il funzionamento dei beni stessi.
Eccezioni al diritto di recesso
Il diritto di recesso non si applica a:
- La fornitura di giornali, periodici o riviste ad eccezione dei contratti di abbonamento; e
- La fornitura di contenuto digitale non fornito su un supporto materiale (ad es. su un CD o DVD), se al momento dell'invio dell'ordine hai accettato l'inizio dell'esecuzione e hai riconosciuto che non avresti potuto recedere una volta iniziata l'esecuzione.
