Facsimile of the 1921 Sanborn fire-insurance atlas of Missoula, Montana, reproduced in full color from the Library of Congress copy. It covers the whole city of 12,688 people, from the brick blocks of Higgins Avenue, Main and Front Streets and the Northern Pacific yards, across the Missoula River to the south side and the University of Montana under Mount Sentinel, up Rattlesnake Creek past Greenough Park, and out to the Polley's Lumber Company mill, the Western Montana Fair Grounds, the Missoula Country Club, the greenhouses and the County Poor Farm.
The seventy-three numbered sheets work block by block from the stores, banks, garages and theatres along Higgins Avenue and Main, Front, Pine, Cedar, Stevens and Woody Streets - the Missoula County Court House and Jail, the City Hall, the Federal Building and Post Office, the Public Library, the Chamber of Commerce, the Masonic Temple, the B. P. O. E., Montana, Hammond, Smead-Simons and First National Bank buildings, the Higgins and Union blocks, the Y. M. C. A., the Missoula Mercantile Company's department store, the Wilma, Liberty, Rialto and Bijou theatres, and the Florence, Palace, Kennedy, Missoula, Penwell, Victoria and Western hotels - through the Northern Pacific depot, freight house, shops and repair yards, the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul passenger and freight depots, the Missoula Street Railway car barn, the Missoula Light and Water Company's plant, the Missoula Gas Company, the Polley's Lumber Company's saw mill and yards, the Missoula White Pine Sash Company's mill, the Morin, Western and Interstate lumber yards, the Ravalli Flour and Cereal Mills, the Garden City Brewing Company, the Missoula Creamery, Ice, Iron Works and Laundry companies, the J. R. Daily Company's slaughter house, Swift and Company, the Continental, Mutual and Independent oil warehouses, the United States Forest Service storage and repair shop, the Great Western Seed Company and the vacated Great Western Sugar Company plant, and the R. and S. Flower and Missoula Green House Nursery greenhouses, to St. Patrick's, Thornton, Parker and Northern Pacific Beneficial Association hospitals, the Detention Hospital and County Poor Farm, the University of Montana with its library, halls, gymnasium and athletic field, the Missoula County High School, Loyola High School, the Academy of the Sacred Heart, St. Joseph's Boys School, the Franklin, Hawthorne, Irving, Lincoln, Lowell, Prescott, Roosevelt, Whittier and Willard schools, St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic, Holy Spirit Episcopal, First Methodist, First Presbyterian, Emmanuel Baptist and the Lutheran churches, the Western Montana Fair Grounds, the Missoula Country Club, and the residential streets of the north side, the south side, the Daly Addition and the Rattlesnake.
In 1921 the Sanborn Map Company of New York surveyed Missoula for the fire-insurance trade, drawing the city at fifty feet to the inch, the University of Montana, the railroad repair yards, the lumber mills and the Fair Grounds at one hundred feet to the inch, and the congested district at two hundred feet to the inch. Every building is shown to scale and color-coded for construction (yellow for frame, pink for brick, blue for stone), with heights, uses, windows, party walls, hydrants, water mains and fire stations all marked. The index lists every street and every named business, church, school, hotel, mill and works with the sheet it appears on, and the key map places the colored sheet grid over the whole city.
This Exile Books edition is an unabridged facsimile republication of the atlas: the title sheet, the two index sheets with the fire and water report, the map of the congested district, the key map and all seventy-three numbered map sheets, 1 to 73, printed at 8.5 x 11 inches on premium color paper. Diritto legale di recesso
Hai il diritto di recedere dal presente contratto entro 14 giorni senza fornire alcuna motivazione.
Il periodo di recesso scade dopo 14 giorni dal giorno in cui tu o una terza parte, diversa dal vettore e da te indicata, acquisisce il possesso fisico dell'ultimo bene o dell'ultimo lotto o pezzo.
Per esercitare il diritto di recesso, compila e invia elettronicamente una dichiarazione esplicita sul nostro sito Web, alla voce “I miei acquisti” nella sezione “Mio account”. Ti comunicheremo senza indugio una conferma di ricezione di tale recesso su un supporto durevole (ad es. via e-mail).
Per rispettare il termine di recesso, è sufficiente inviare la comunicazione relativa all'esercizio del diritto di recesso prima della scadenza del periodo di recesso stesso.
Effetti del recesso
In caso di recesso dal presente contratto, ti rimborseremo tutti i pagamenti ricevuti, compresi i costi di spedizione (ad eccezione dei costi supplementari derivanti dalla tua eventuale scelta di un tipo di spedizione diverso dal tipo meno costoso di consegna standard da noi offerto).
Potremo effettuare una detrazione dal rimborso per la perdita di valore dei beni forniti, qualora tale perdita sia il risultato di una manipolazione non necessaria da parte tua.
Eseguiremo il rimborso senza indebito ritardo e non oltre 14 giorni dal giorno in cui saremo informati della tua decisione di recedere dal presente contratto.
Il rimborso sarà effettuato utilizzando lo stesso mezzo di pagamento da te usato per la transazione iniziale, salvo che tu non abbia espressamente concordato altrimenti; in ogni caso, non dovrai sostenere alcun costo quale conseguenza di tale rimborso.
Possiamo trattenere il rimborso finché non avremo ricevuto i beni oppure finché non avrai fornito la prova di averli rispediti, a seconda di quale condizione si verifichi per prima.
Dovrai rispedire i beni o consegnarli a AHA-BUCH GmbH, Einbeck, Germany, senza indebito ritardo e, in ogni caso, entro 14 giorni dal giorno in cui ci hai comunicato la tua volontà di recedere dal presente contratto. Il termine è rispettato se rispedisci i beni prima della scadenza del periodo di 14 giorni. I costi diretti della restituzione dei beni saranno a tuo carico. Sei responsabile solo della diminuzione del valore dei beni risultante da una manipolazione diversa da quella necessaria per stabilire la natura, le caratteristiche e il funzionamento dei beni stessi.
Eccezioni al diritto di recesso
Il diritto di recesso non si applica a:
- La fornitura di giornali, periodici o riviste ad eccezione dei contratti di abbonamento; e
- La fornitura di contenuto digitale non fornito su un supporto materiale (ad es. su un CD o DVD), se al momento dell'invio dell'ordine hai accettato l'inizio dell'esecuzione e hai riconosciuto che non avresti potuto recedere una volta iniziata l'esecuzione.
