Peggy Parish (1927–88) first created the beloved character Amelia Bedelia in 1963. She wrote a total of twelve books about the zany antics of the charming housekeeper. James Watts is a published author and illustrator of children’s and young adult books. He also illustrated Zack's Alligator and Zack's Alligator Goes to School. He lives in San Francisco.
