L'autore

Tshe Ring Dbang Rgyal lived from 1697 to 1763 and held many important government posts in Tibet, including that of prime minister. He wrote several books of history and biography and was a leading man of letters.

Beth Newman has a doctorate in South Asian languages and literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has studied Buddhism and Tibetan language and culture for the past twenty years. She lives in Sarasota, Florida.
