INTERACTIONS TWO is designed for college ESOL students who are at a low-intermediate level of proficiency. Courses for ESL (English as a Second Language) or ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students are taught in both 2-year and 4-year schools and may be found in a variety of departments including English, ESL, and Extended or Continuing Education as well as in Language Institute Programs elsewhere on campus. INTERACTIONS TWO is appropriate for students who score approximately 425 on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), less than 135 on the CELT (Comprehensive English Language Test), 40-50 on the Michigan Proficiency Test or 50-60 on the Michigan Placement Test. The INTERACTIONS TWO program is known for its flexibility and ease of use. The program contains four separate yet coordinated texts: a grammar, a reader, a writing book, and a listening/speaking book. New to this edition is a fifth coordinated text -- a multiple-skills activities book. The texts in the INTERACTIONS TWO program are filled with a variety of skill-building exercises, lively activities, and interesting, practical information about life in the United States and Canada. The new edition of INTERACTIONS TWO features an eye-catching new design, a new theme for Chapter 6, new material on testing, and an exciting new video of authentic materials.
