He has presented papers at several international conferences such as the Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Accounting conference, the Asia Pacific Interdisciplinary Research on Accounting conference, andï¿ the Academy of Accounting Historians conference. He has also acted as an ad hoc referee for the Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal and Accounting Forum.Philip has published several papers in professional Accounting journals and in 2005 the British Journal of Management will publish a paper co-authored by Philip entitled Revisiting Fayol: Anticipating Contemporary Management.His research interests include management and accounting history, the implications of postmodernist though for management and accounting theory and practice, and the issue underlying organizational design and structure.
Brenda Scott-LaddM.Com (HRM) (Curtin), PhD (Curtin)Dr Brenda Scott-Ladd is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the Graduate Business School at Curtin University. Brenda obtained her PhD from the Graduate School of Business, Curtin University of Technology. She has been teaching both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students at Murdoch since 1997 and has also taught in a mix of programs in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Mainland China. Prior to joining Murdoch, Brenda spent 15 years working as an Organisational Development Consultant, providing services to the Private and Public Sectors. Her research interests centre on participative work practices, change management and strategic human resources management. Publication topics include group processes, leadership and participation in decision-making, emotional intelligence, gender issues and organisational learning.
