This volume is concerned with the physical nature of the processes that take place in industrial units, and in particular, with the factors that influence the rate of transfer of material. The chapters on Leaching, Drying and Crystallisation are concerned with the mass transfer from solids; and Distillation, Gas Absorption and Liquid-Liquid Extraction on mass transfer in fluids.
