This package includes two manuals that document the SPSS Base 7.0 for Windows system: SPSS Base 7.0 Users Guide and SPSS Base 7.0 Applications. The Users Guide is the primary guide to SPSS Base 7.0. It documents all features of the software, including, data definition and other features of the Data Editor, data modification and file management, output management including the SPSS Navigator and pivot tables, statistics and graphics procedures, chart editing, production mode operation and utilities for getting information (including help) and controlling the environment. SPSS Base 7.0 Applications contains several examples for each procedure, starting with default operations and moving on through the most commonly used optional specifications. It discusses the assumptions required by each procedure, checking the data for those assumptions, and finding strategies to deal with data that do not meet the required assumptions. These two books are only available as a package.
