<p style="MARGIN: 0px; mso-layout-grid-align: none" align="left" sonormal=""><b>John Lamb </b>is a Senior Technical Staff Member for IBM Global Business Services in Somers, New York. He is an IBM Senior Certified IT Architect, and he holds a B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Ph.D. in engineering science from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a senior member of the IEEE and ASME engineering societies. He has published more than 50 technical papers and articles and has coauthored four books, including <i>Lotus Notes</i><sup>® </sup><i>and Domino</i><sup>® </sup><i>5: Scalable Network Design </i>(McGraw-Hill, 1999) and <i>IBM WebSphere</i><sup>® </sup><i>and Lotus: Implementing Collaborative Solutions </i>(Prentice-Hall, 2004).</p>
