Pure C++ Programming is the second book in the Pure series of textbooks. This book is designed for beginning students and readers. It starts with the C++ non-object oriented functions and operators, then moves to the object oriented features covering more complex concepts. Emphasis is on C++ language and not on program design or development.
The book includes the following features:
- Chapters are kept short and long topics are presented in two chapters.
- Paragraphs and sections are kept short and interleaved with notes, examples, tables, and figures.
- Each chapter provides partial programs to explain the topic at hand. Programs that are fully explained are also contained in each chapter; however, real-life programming examples are not provided.
- Program examples are kept short and simple. They are designed to complement the topic at hand.
- The pace of coverage is consistent.
- Chapter 15 is a complete menu-driven program.
- Each book contains Microsoft's VISUAL C++ 6.0 Compiler and a CD-ROM containing all of the program examples, source code files, and answers to end-of-chapter questions.
