Soft cover. Condizione: Near New. Reprint and First Penguin. Two works by Beryl Cook in near new condition for $25.00. The Works, her first book, is a 1981 reprint of the Penguin 1979 edition and has some light surface wear. Private View has a light crease to back cover. both have uncreased spines and appear unread. Neither have any writing or marks. How to describe Beryl Cook's work? She does very well executed paintings of roly poly people and food, and is somewhat vulgar and very funny as described by the Woman's Journal, she offers "simple, colourful, life-affirming vulgar cheerfulness.".
