9780141183244: Cancer Ward

Sinossi

Like the author, the hero, Oleg Kostoglotov, spent many years in labour camps and was eventually transferred to a cancer ward. Both a deeply passionate study of how people confront terminal illness and a definitive dissection of the 'cancerous' Soviet police state, it ranks among the author's most enduring masterpieces.
