A complete tutorial to train the quality and accuracy of the voice, written especially for Contralto and Baritone Voices. First published in 1927, this method by George Dodds has proved both popular and successful. Progressive in structure, the lessons being with simple breath control, basic vowel sounds and the lower medium notes before progressing to upper registers. Particular attention is paid to elocution, sustain, attack and flexibility. The chapters exercise the full range of the voice, posing challenges that represent the difficulties found in the Classical vocal repertoire.
