Directing the Choral Music Program is a comprehensive introduction to developing and managing choral music programs from the elementary through the high-school level. Designed primarily as a choral methods textbook for the undergraduate music education curriculum, it will also be of interest to choral directors. The book is structured around three basic units: the administrative process, choral planning, and choral rehearsing. It also features chapters on directing show choirs and musicals; organizing choir tours, festivals, and contests; working with changing voices; and developing sight-reading skills and theoretical understanding.

Broad in scope and practical in orientation, this book provides a solid basis for a career in choral directing.
