Very brief and down-to-earth field manual that helps students prepare for entering their first field placement.
In the Field: A Guide for the Social Work Practicum, 2/e helps students make the leap from the theory they learned in the classroom to the real world they will encounter in their field placement.
It addresses issues that students often struggle with in their beginning practicum and reinforces that co-workers, supervisors, and the students' own life experiences have much offer.
New coverage includes:cultural competency, health care laws, student safety, time management, internet privacy, client assessment, and spirituality.
