BAZ KERSHAW is currently Professor of Performance in the University of Warwicks Department of Theatre, Performance and Cultural Policy Studies, having previously been Chair of Drama at the University of Bristol for 8 years. He is the Director of the major research project PARIP (Practice as Research in Performance) since it began in 2000, and has been on the editorial boards for many key journals in theatre/performance studies (includingResearch in Drama Education, Cambridge History of British Theatre, Contemporary Theatre Review). His own publications includeEngineers of the Imagination (Methuen, 1998), The Politics of Performance (Routledge, 1992),The Radical in Performance (Routledge, 1999) and The Cambridge History of British Theatre Since 1895 (2004).

SIMON JONES is Reader in Performance in the Drama Department at the University of Bristol, UK, and is a practitioner and scholar, having written plays and texts for a number of companies since the 1980s and founded the performance company Bodies in Flight in 1990. He has published in Contemporary Theatre Review, Entropy Magazine, Liveartmagazine, Performance Research, Shattered Anatomies(ed. Heathfield & Quick), and most recently in The Cambridge History of British Theatre.

ANGELA PICCINI is an Academic Fellow in the Drama Department at the University of Bristol, UK, and has been working with Baz Kershaw on the PARIP project since 2001. Her publications include articles in journals such asJournal of Media Practice and Studies in Theatre and Performance.

LUDIVINE ALLEGUE FUSCHINI is currently a Research Assistant at the University of Bristol, and has mainly published in related French journals.
