In a work of this kind, in which such a multitude of vowel-points and other orthographical symbols are employed, it is quite probable that a few typographical errors may have escaped the eye unnoticed. I believe, however, that the number of such is very small indeed; and for this unwanted degree of accuracy my best thanks are due to Professor Francis Johnson, late of the East India College, Hailey bury. That gentleman, with the most disinterested ness, examined every one of the proof-sheets as the work.
