Excerpt from Homeopathy and Its Principles Explained
Chap. I. Which the truth, by the very necessity of its nature, either must, or appears likely to, overturn; and, That truth has ultimately triumphed.
In regard to the first axiom, that truth has been discovered AT distinct and often distant intervals, do not the facts, that the world has existed so many hundreds of years, and that, though so much truth has been discovered, so much remains un discovered, testify to the soundness of this axiom? This axiom does not imply that truth was ever imperfect. It came perfect from the Divine mind, and exists in the universe in all its glorious perfection. Even ancient mythology teaches this, when it in its poetic relation declares, that Minerva, the goddess of wisdom, came forth from the brain of the mythological chief god Jupiter, fully formed and perfectly armed; a relation vividly testifying to the belief among the philosophers of Olden times in the, as origi nally created, perfection of truth. In reference to the essential perfection of truth, and, at the same time, its gradual discovery by man at distinct and Often distant intervals, how appropriate are the beautiful imagery and the forcible language Of Milton, in his speech for the liberty Of unlicensed printing, addressed to the parliament Truth indeed came into the world with her Divine Master, and was a perfect shape, most glorious to look upon; but when he ascended, then straight arose a wicked race of deceivers, who took the virgin truth, hewed her lovely form into a thousand pieces, and scattered them to the four winds. From that time ever since, the sad friends Of truth, such as durst appear, went up and down, gathering up limb by limb still as they could find them. We have not found them all, lords and commons, nor ever shall do, till her Master's second coming: he shall bring together every joint and member, and shall, mould them into an immortal feature Of loveliness and perfection.

Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book is the product of tireless research and provides a comprehensive evaluation of a paradigm-shifting medical approach, inviting readers to reconsider the very nature of disease and the remedies used to treat it. Through the lens of the author's expertise, this book comprehensively examines two opposing medical systems that have shaped medical practice for centuries. Antipathy, founded on the principle of combating symptoms with their polar opposites, is contrasted with the more nuanced approach of allopathy, which seeks to stimulate a healing response within the body. The book's historical perspective traces the evolution of medical thought, showcasing the intellectual struggles and controversies that have fueled the development of medical science. It delves into the mechanistic view of the body that underpins allopathy, highlighting its strengths and limitations. By juxtaposing this with the holistic approach of antipathy, the author opens a window into the complexities of medical practice and the challenges faced by practitioners in their pursuit of effective treatments. Ultimately, this book serves as a thought-provoking treatise, encouraging readers to question established norms and consider alternative approaches to healthcare. It stands as a testament to the ongoing quest for a deeper understanding of the human body and the art of healing.
