The growth of banking business in Great Britain led to the establishment of Clearing-houses, the advantage of which is unquestionable. What we require is a Statistical Clearing-house, in combination with the rest Of mankind: the expense would be a mere trifle, while the benefits to be derived would be immeasurable.
