Technology, they remind readers, is not an end in itself, but enables the capabilities essential for surviving an uncertain future: nimbleness, scalability, stability, and optionality.

Anh Nguyen Phillips is Research Director for Deloitte’s Global CEO Program. Jonathan R. Copulsky is Senior Lecturer of Marketing at Northwestern University. Kane, Phillips, and Copulsky are coauthors of The Technology Fallacy: How People Are the Real Key to Digital Transformation (MIT Press).
