Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book comprises a collection of letters written by Voltaire during the years 1742-1743. Voltaire's lively correspondence offers rare insights into the social and cultural landscape of an era that was marked by political intrigue, literary rivalries, and philosophical debate. The letters are especially valuable for their accounts of his experiences at the court of Frederick the Great, his relationship with the infamous Ãmilie du Châtelet, and his reactions to the intellectual and artistic trends of his time. Taken together, these letters show Voltaire as a shrewd observer, a tireless advocate for free thought, and a passionate defender of his artistic vision.
