Nigel Rees is the author of more than 50 books and a broadcaster who has presented scores of programmes on radio and television. He is the deviser and presenter of BBC Radio' Four's Quote... Unquote (first broadcast in 1976 and now heard all over the world), through which he has become an authority on the popular use of language in slogans, catchphrases, cliches, idioms and quotations. He lives in London W11.
