Written by researchers at a federally funded outreach program to combat the spread of AIDS, this book analyzes the efforts of the Miami Community Outreach Project to intervene in AIDS-related risk behavior among intravenous drug users and their sexual partners. JAMES A. INCIARDI is Director of the Center for Drug and Alcohol Studies at the University of Delaware, a Professor in the University's Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, and member of the South Florida AIDS Research Consortium. He is the author of several books, including The Drug Legalization Debate (1991) and Handbook of Drug Control in the United States (Greenwood Press, 1990).
