Janette Benson is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Denver, an APA congressional science fellow, a Carnegie scholar, and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Winner of seven awards for excellence in teaching/education, she has authored over 20 books, chapters, and journal articles in the field of infancy and early childhood development and is a member of the Society for Research in Child Development; American Psychological Association, American Psychological Society, International Society for Infant Studies, and the Cognitive Developmental Society.
