His research areas of interest are advanced functional nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications, such as water splitting, CO2 conversion, gas storage, fine chemicals production, photovoltaics, fuel cells and batteries.

Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain is an Adjunct Professor and Director of Laboratories in the Department of Chemistry & Environmental Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), United States.
