Soft cover. Condizione: Good. Illustrations by the author (illustratore). Reprint. First published in hardcover by Brockhampton in 1968, this is a first softcover edition of 1972. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR IN BLACK FELT PEN, ON TITLE PAGE 'For Gavin, Val Biro'. Edge wear and some creasing to top and bottom of softcovers, spine and corners slightly rubbed, some slight overall yellowing and time staining, some spotting to endpapers. Price on inside front cover (25p), no other inscriptions, internally clean and tight, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 32pp, lavishly illustrated in colour on every page. Hungarian British artist Balint Stephen Biro (1921-2014), was also children's author and book illustrator. Originally a native of Hungary, his studio was located in Amersham in Buckinghamshire.
