It adds new species to the known foraminifera collection while also discussing the variations encountered in known species. Through the analysis of vast collected material and older data, the author traces the distribution of foraminifera species across the region and presents a depth-defying classification of the subject. The book also discusses the stratigraphic importance of the foraminifera, as their fossil record offers valuable information about the geological and environmental changes the Philippine and adjacent seas have undergone across time. Highlighting the intricate and diverse world of foraminifera, this book presents comprehensive coverage and detailed descriptions of the identified species.
