Dans le courant de 4855, on a publié à Paris une petite brochure traduite du russe qui est à la fois une apologie du schisme d'orient et une attaque contre l'eglise catholique. Cette publication est demeurée à peu près inconnue en France. Cependant, une prom cation de cette nature ne pouvait rester sans réponse. La Civiltà cattolica s'en est chargée; et, dès le mois de janvier dernier, elle commençait une série d'articles destinés à réfuter la brochure schismatique. Nous avons pensé que nos adversaires s'étant servis de la langue française pour leur attaque, il manquerait quelque chose à la réponse si'efle ne paraissait pas dans la même langue et ne s'adressait pas aux mêmes lecteurs.
