The term Automotive Transportation Companies as used in this classification, means every corporation, company, association, joint stock association, firm, copartnership or individual, their lessees, trustees, receivers or trustees appointed by any court whatsoever, owning, con trolling, Operating or managing any automobile, jitney bus, auto truck, stage or auto stage used in the transportation of persons or property as a common carrier for compensation, subject to the jurisdiction of the Railroad Commission.
