The Union List printed in 1912, has proved a useful guide to students, and its use by libraries as a guide to supplying American library deficiencies in this field has passed all anticipation. This supplement, which cannot pre tend to include all copies added meantime, nevertheless records 1192c0pies of 1005 difierent collections. Thirty-two of these titles were not to be found in America in 1912, and of 123 others there was only one copy in the country at that time. The prompt way in which Harvard, the Library of Congress, the N ewberry Library, Columbia, and several of the smaller libraries, notably the Princeton Theological Seminary, have taken up this matter, so important to the efficiency of historical research in America, is a matter of congratu lation.
