Sharp is Assistant Professor of Hebrew Scriptures at Yale Divinity School and author of Prophecy and Ideology in Jeremiah (2003) and Irony and Meaning in the Hebrew Bible: The Power of the Unspoken in Sacred Texts (forthcoming).
