Sinossi
This second edition series, written by experienced writers provides both students and teachers with the most up to date coverage of the (MEI) specification B (1968) GCSE maths course. Higher Hodder Mathematics is a carefully planned, clearly structured course specially written for and approved by OCR. There are two textbooks for each tier, one for each of the MEI modules and this Teacher's Resource covers both the textbooks. These books also follow the philosophy of the National Strategy Framework for teaching mathematics, making them an ideal follow-on from the Formula One Maths course books - our new Key Stage 3 course. The Higher Book is aimed at above average students, covering GCSE grades A* - C.
The Teacher's Resource helps teachers present the MEI specification B modules to their students in a familiar context, by encouraging students to relate to the subject and to explore the concepts they meet by asking questions. Skills as well as knowledge are emphasised throughout. Students will benefit from their teacher's practical and active approach.
Contents:
The Higher Teacher's Resource contains a general introduction to the course, and provides timesaving material for both experienced and non-specialist teachers. Each chapter contains explanatory teaching notes combined with a wide selection of copymasters, including tests with answers and mark schemes, speed-up sheets, IT investigations, extra work sheets, revision sheets for independent study and OHP masters.
