Excerpt from Occurrence and Distribution of Potentially Volatile Trace Elements in Coal: An Interim Report
This report discusses the chemical analytical techniques developed for determination of many of the trace elements in coal, compares the resultsobtained by two or more analytical methods for the same element, and compares the determinations for a single element on samples prepared at different ashing temperatures. As a result of such cross - checking, a high degree of confidence can be placed on the recommended or best values reported.
Analyses of 25 coals are reported for the following trace elements antimony, arsenic, beryllium, boron, bromine, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, cop per, fluorine, gallium, germanium, lead, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, mer cury, phosphorus, selenium, tin, vanadium, zinc, and zirconium. In addition.
