The authors attempt in their approach to the subject to bridge the gap between textbook anatomy and a clear understanding of how people are really put together. Photographs of the human cadaver illustrate human structure as it actually appears. The four-colour guides highlight and clarify the structures and relationships shown in each photograph, and place everything within a standard anatomical framework. The text describes the morphology in detail.

White boards with red and black text and a diagram on the front cover have some signs of use and age. There is some creasing to the top, bottom, and sides of the spine. There is also slight bending inwards of the top two corners and some wear to the bottom corners. Inside cover pages are red and there is some chipping to the color on the front inside cover page.
