Matthew Barber (chapters 9–11) has lived in New England for 15 years. He helped author the restaurant chapters of Frommer's Montréal & Québec City and he writes about food and old-time cooking techniques at www.crispybits.com.

Leslie Brokaw (chapters 9–11) has been writing for Frommer's since 2006, authoring or contributing to Frommer's Montréal & Québec City, Montréal Day by Day, and Frommer's Canada. She lives in Boston and teaches at Emerson College.

Paul Karr (chapters 2–3 and 12–14) is an award-winning writer and editor and avid traveler. He is also the author of Frommer’s Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island; Frommer’s Maine Coast; and Vancouver & Victoria For Dummies, as well as a co-author of Frommer’s Canada. His work has also appeared in the New York Times, Sierra, Sports Illustrated, and Insight Guides to Austria, Montreal, Switzerland, and Vienna. He divides his time between New York, New England, and Asia.

Herbert Bailey Livesey (chapters 9–11) has written about food and travel for over 30 years, authoring or contributing to Frommer's Montréal & Québec City, Frommer's Europe, and Frommer's Canada. He has been published in Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, Playboy, New York, and Yankee; and he blogs about travel at www.akeyinthedoor.com.

Marie Morris (chapters 5–6) grew up in New York and graduated from Harvard, where she studied history. She has worked for the Boston Herald, Boston magazine, and the New York Times. She's the author of Boston For Dummies, Irreverent Guide to Boston, Boston Day by Day, and she covers Boston for Frommer's New England. She lives in Boston, not far from Paul Revere.

Laura M. Reckford (chapters 7–8) is the editor of The Barnstable Enterprise newspaper in the town of Barnstable on Cape Cod. Formerly the managing editor of The Falmouth Enterprise and Cape Cod Life magazine, she has also been on the editorial staffs of Good Housekeeping magazine and Entertainment Weekly. She co-authored the first edition of France For Dummies.
