Riassunto

The demand for 3D graphic designers and illustrators continues to grow at an explosive rate in a wide range of industries, from major motion pictures, TV, advertising, and games to Web applications. Based on the high level of demand for a print version of the tutorials featured on the author's online magazine, Bill Fleming has compiled a collection of tutorials including previously unpublished material. This book offers advanced, in-depth tutorials on modelling and surfacing for digital botany and insects. With the high level of detail and complexity needed to create natural environments and insects, readers should find the step-by-step tutorials a useful guide to producing professional quality results. All major 3D graphics programs (LightWave, MAX, Animation Master, trueSpace, Strata Studio Pro, and Ray Dream Studio) on the Windows 95 and NT platforms are covered. A companion CD-ROM includes all the tutorials presented in the book, plus a gallery of images.
