Sedimentary Rocks in the Field describes how these rocks may be observed, recorded and mapped, and has been written at a level suitable for undergraduate students of geology. It provides comprehensive coverage of basic field techniques required to study sedimentary rocks, followed by an illustrated account of sedimentary rock types, textures and structures, as well as outlining particular aspects of sedimentary rocks including palaeocurrents and fossils.
