Fuss masonry. It is known that a great excitement has long existed in the northern and western parts of New York, because of the strange abduction and sup posed murder of Willlam Morgan, and the mystery in which this unhappy affair is yet concealed, goes on to ih crease the intensity of feeling; on the subject. It has en lered into all the concerns of public and private life, in certain districts ot the state. Because of this feeling, the letter published below was addressed to M r. Adams; and his reply thereto, it is stated has been given to the. Public by Mr. Heartwell, though contrary to the special request of Mr. Adams, on the ground that mutilated and false copies of the correspondence had been thrown into circulation. This simple statement of facts seemed na cessary to a right understanding of the matter, and we shall proceed to register the correspondence.
