The "father" of the finite element method, J. T. Oden is Director of the Institute for Computational Engineering & Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin and author of Dover's Finite Elements of Nonlinear Continua. J. N. Reddy is Professor of Engineering at Texas A&M University.
