After nearly four decades of teaching, Mary Rose has retired from the classroom. She had been active with several state and national assessments projects, was trained as a scorer for the Florida State Writing Assessment, and helped write the reading portion of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. She continues to present at state and national conferences and is a national consultant on improving scores on writing assessments. Mary Rose is a teacher advisor for Storyworks magazines, a contributor to Scholastic’s Printables project, and the author of several professional books, all published by Scholastic.
