You will find that it is never too late to reflect and make changes - whether big or small - to de-stress and streamline learning at home with young children.

IN THE COVID-19 ERA FAMILY LIFE HAS SUDDENLY AND DEEPLY CHANGED.
Hailed by parents as “validating“ and “confidence building”, it contains sound advice and practical tips, based on first-hand experience. Its message resonates with parents anywhere that schools have shut their gates and remote learning at home has begun.
Among Learning in Lockdown's most valuable insights:

• How to prepare your children for remote learning, and design a positive learning environment at home
• How to motivate your child and nurture enthusiastic learners at home
• Why routines can make or break family life during lockdown
• What your child’s teacher expects of you, and what you need from them
• Why self-care and keeping remote learning in perspective is so important right now
• How to increase your child's independence and help them find their own version of success

And you will also find affirmation, honesty and advocacy for you - because your family can’t make it without you.

“After months of struggling with (and repeatedly failing at) the facilitation of my own children’s distance learning, its sound advice, real-world strategies, and relatable stories offered me immediate comfort. In a world that was feeling increasingly isolated, Learning in Lockdown made me feel less alone”- Mother of two, USA

“As an educator myself, I naively believed I was well-equipped to facilitate my own children’s distance learning. Instead, two weeks into lockdown, I found myself overwhelmed, ill-prepared, and ready to throw in the towel. Learning in Lockdown could not have landed in my lap at a better time. It spoke to, and validated, the many emotions and experiences our family was undergoing. It might be an overstatement to say that Learning in Lockdown saved our family this year...but I don’t think so” - Mother of two & qualified high school teacher, USA

“Learning in Lockdown offered me the confidence and real-world strategies to tackle distance learning with relative ease” - Grandmother of four, Australia
