Currently an Associate Professor of English at Pasadena City College, she is also a certified yoga teacher, personal trainer, and health coach. She holds master's degrees in English and Kinesiology. Vanitha Swaminathan was raised in Eastern India and learned mindfulness practices from her parents. Twice a year, she returns to India to help her mother with her yoga practice.
