Sinossi

[insert title here] pushes you to derive meaning for yourself. It dares the reader to draw comparisons and link the pieces together; trust us, there is a recipe to our madness:A pinch of twistedStir in a heaping cup of weirdShake in some mystery, to tasteA dollop of unexpectedAdd some cooled desireAnd whisk yourself away to a land our imagination

L'autore

In a little niche of Chicago, is the neighborhood of Pilsen. In the heart of Pilsen are the people who carry the stories of their Mexican culture, ancestors, families, friends and future. Between Ashland and Laflin, Cermak and 21st lies Benito Juarez Community Academy?one square block of talent. We are one brought together by a common interest and a common past. We are writers, students, teachers, brothers, sisters, leaders, givers. Together we are searching for our voice. Some of us took longer to find it and needed a lot of encouragement to shout out our stories, but together, we did it. Together we are brave. Together we are one. We are Laura Reyes. We are Miguel Aguilar and Ruben Murillo. We are Maria Herrera, Priscilla Galindo and Arlena Garcia. We are Megan Bustamante. We are Jonathon Rodriguez and Blanca Lopez. We are Anilu Mendiola and Toni Maldonado. We are David Rocha. We are Elvia Morga and Flora Favela. We are Angelica Cruz and Edgar Barron. We are Helene Maldonado and Juan Hernandez. We are Luis Ayala. We are Greta Cervantes. We are Ruben Sanchez and Samantha Garza. We are Claudia Tinajero and Becky Caballero. We are Renzo Rufino, Juan Pablo Avalos and Victor Fuentes. We are Stephanie Rubalcava, Vanessa Solorio and Lizbeth Trujillo. We are Denise Garrido. We are who we are. We come from pride and humbleness and we make no apologies for finding our voice.
