Riassunto

Chief Boiler Technician Phillip Keith is just three weeks short of his much-anticipated retirement. Spoiled by his post with a modern class cruiser, Keith is counting on an easy voyage to the United States from the Philippines. When fate intervenes, he is reassigned to an old World War II destroyer, the USS Biscay, to ensure its safe return to the States.

As he boards the vintage destroyer, alarms sound in Keith's head, alerting him that something is amiss. His instincts are right: the captain asks him to secure proof that the ship is being used to smuggle drugs. Keith and Kris Palmer, a woman with whom Keith shares an undeniable chemistry, set out to uncover the smuggling operation.

Unfortunately for the pair, the drug ring leader vows to stop at nothing, even murder, to get his cache stateside.

As Keith, Kris, and the smugglers' paths intersect, a violent storm sends them plummeting into the cold dark waters of the Pacific. Not even the ship's mascot, a loyal beagle, can save them now.

This action-packed novel with a compelling spiritual message about courage, faith, and destiny will both entertain and inspire.
