Can I Sit With You Too? is the second collection of stories from the Can I Sit With You? project. These new tales represent an even wider range of schoolyard experiences, including best friend disappointments, new kid fears, harsh discrimination, living with disabilities, and emerging sexuality. By sharing moments from kindergarten through high school, these stories once again remind us that we are not alone: chances are, if it happened to you, it happened to someone else, too. The Can I Sit With You? project has been featured on NPR, and in live shows and readings from Seattle's Annex Theatre to the San Francisco Bay Area's Book Passage. Proceeds from this book benefit SEPTAR, the Special Education PTA that Jennifer and Shannon helped found in 2007.

Shannon Des Roches Rosa and Jennifer Byde Myers, are both parents of special needs children. All proceeds from the sale of Can I Sit With You? go directly to SEPTAR, the fledgling Special Education PTA of Redwood City (SEPTAR). Shannon Des Roches Rosa lives tantalizingly close to San Francisco, but doesn't visit nearly often enough (and retrieving her handsome spouse from his workplace does not count). When she is not running herd on her three darling but challenging children, she picks nits out of other writers works and occasionally even writes herself. She will never surrender her serial commas. Jennifer Byde Myers has two modes: Go! Go! Go! and Sleep. Raised in Huntington Beach, California, behind the Orange Curtain, Jennifer escaped to U.C. Berkeley for college and has now firmly planted herself in the Bay Area. She spends her days as wife, mother, sister, friend, and daughter while trying to maintain a sense of self, save the world, and make dinner. In between she writes for large corporations and for personal catharsis. She believes Scrabble should always be served with a sparkling wine.
